Joined: Mar 2016., From research before when the 198P came out, the Pad Hull gives a smoother ride when running that the regular RT did, but when the TM was down the RT's sat much better and had hardly any side to side motion. I fished out of one of the Deep V 178 they made and it ran smooth and fished great with two guys in it.
